Days 5 through 10: Once the first true leaves appear (the second set, not the round seed leaves), start a quarter-strength nutrient solution. Aim for an EC of 0.4 to 0.6, or roughly 200 to 300 ppm on a TDS meter. EC stands for electrical conductivity, and it’s simply a measure of how much dissolved fertilizer is in your water.
